A LITTLE BACKGROUND
I live in
Mountain View, California and cannot imagine living
anywhere else in the world. I have two daughters, both of
whom have spread their wings and left the nest. My oldest
daughter, Lisa, lives in Boston with her husband, and my
second daughter lives in Seattle, where she is pursuing a
career in the high tech industry. I am 55 years old (don’t
tell anyone) and spent the first 20 years of my life living
in Rochester, New York. Career wise, I am self employed and
love being my own boss. I pity people who work in cubicles,
taking orders from emails.
I love
the San Francisco
Ballet and go to as
many performances as I can. I am not a huge theatre or
opera enthusiast, but I enjoy live performances of any
kind, so I am known to frequent those as well. I am
also, naturally, a music fan. My favorite artists
are Bob
Dylan, the
Beatles, and my new
found passion, Ben
Folds. If you
have a similar taste in music, make sure to check out
the Ben Folds song, Landed.
Here is some background directly relating to this site. I
was depressed for six months, doing nothing more than lying
on the sofa and watching TV. I did the bare minimum amount
of work to pay my bills and stay sane. It was the lowest I
have ever felt and it is painful simply to remember, but I
want to be able to teach others from my experience. I spoke
to numerous doctors and they all agreed that I was
clinically depressed. Skeptical of medication, I resisted a
prescription and am so glad that I did.
Through simple methods that anyone can do, I brought myself
back from the brink. It was by creating a workout
schedule, watching
what I eat and maintaining a healthy diet, increasing
my social
activity, and the
crème de la crème, the Lifestyle Lift
procedure. Through
this website, I want to share my success so that other
people can do the same.
